I am working on a scenario for Dragonbane, the Swedish fantasy role-playing game that Free League Publishing are releasing 2023. The scenario will be an open adventure site called Hearts Fall after a waterfall that sprung up through the ground as a meteor struck the earth. I have tried to write it so it would be able to be placed in the misty vale (the setting in Dragonbane) as well as be able to incorporated the place in a desolate mountain range in any fantasy world.
The scenario Hearts Fall is today almost completely written, it stands at 6644 words ~ twice the length of the adventures in the base game. Today was the Dramatis Personae completed and all NPC:s now have their description written.
What is left is:
- Finishing the scenario - some events are left to be written, estimated ~500 words.
- Play test. Will try to release the play test version when the play test are done. I hope to play test this scenario during the summer months of 2023.
- Rework the game after the play test
- Proof read
- Publish finished version, aim for fall 2023
